LEAVE RULES :

Parents have to send Leave Application through the Student's Diary, on a fixed page for this purpose, duly signed by them, for sanction by the Principal, well in advance, by mentioning the valid reason. A student suffering from any infectious disease is not allowed to attend the School till he/ she is fully recovered and a Medical Certificate will be submitted, duly signed, by Regd. Medical Practitioner.

No request for exemption from appearing at any Test/ Exam shall be entertained, except in genuine cases. Assessment of each student shall be determined on the basis of periodic and Terminal Tests.

ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL :

If a child remains ABSENT for more than Seven days without any information/sanction of Leave, his/her name shall be struck off the rolls. Absence from school for petty reasons must be avoided. Leave is not granted to students by the Principal without prior Leave Application from Parents/ Guardians duly signed in the student's diary. However, Leave may be granted as a Special Case under unforeseen circumstances by giving in writing the valid proof with retrospective date.

DISCIPLINE :

All students are expected to be well-behaved well disciplined, honest obedient, humble, respectful, responsible, devoted, dedicated, diligent, decent, conscientious, upright, righteous in their conduct and character. The school expects whole- hearted moral support and Co-operation of the parents & guardians at all times to ensure the Holistic Personality Development of their wards. Lapses, Omissions and wrong acts of the errant students shall be conveyed through S.M.S as well as Computerised SMS/ telephonically to parents or through student's diary. Please check the student's diary daily for any instruction.

TERMINATION/RUSTICATION :

The students found committing deliberately indisciplinary activites, intentional Violation of School Rules & Regulations, unbecoming behaviour, (11) THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE A TRUE FRIEND IS TO BE ONE. breaching of Code of Conduct shall, be liable to punishment, including Suspension/Expulsion/ Rustication from the school to maintain healthy and morally right environment in the school.

EVALUATION/ ASSESSMENT/EXAMINAION SYSTEM :

The Students' Knowledge / Standard will be judged in Scholastic (Intellectual) and Co-Scholastic (Co-Curricular) areas during the year. The Evaluation in Scholastic Areas is Indicated through both Marks and Grades, given on 9-point Grading Scale as per the given chart, while the Co-Scholastic areas are graded on 5-pont Grading Scale. The Co-Scholastic Areas include Life Skills, Work Education, Visual and Performing Arts, Attitudes and Values. However, the students shall be evaluated on the newly introduced Evaluation Policy by the C.B.S.E. Delhi. This new policy of Evaluation will be of 80+20, Marks of the Theory and Internal Assessment. (80 Marks written and 20 Marks Internal, i.e. 5 Marks each for Two Unit Tests (UT), 05 Marks for Note Books, H.W /Class work and 05 Marks for Subject Enrichment (ASL-Assessment on Speaking and Listening Skills for the languages and Project Map work in Science & Soc. Sc.) respectiviely which are essential for all students.

PROMOTION TO THE NEXT CLASS :

A student is granted promotion to the next higher class on the basis of the whole year's performance. The missing of even a single test will affect his /her position in the class.

Absenteeism from school also adversely affects a student's final result. 80% Attendance is compulsory for appearing at the School Exam. Minimum 'D' Grade in each subject is necessary to qualify for promotion. Passing in both Theory (WRITTEN) and Practical Exam, separately, is essential with 33% marks.

NOTE:- If a student repeats a class for two consequtive years, it is advisale to parents to withdraw him/her from the school to save their Time, Energy and Money.

DOUBLE PROMOTION :

Double Promotion only to the exceptionally bright students of class Nursery & (KG) may be possible on the basis of the Test and on attaining the prescribed age to be eligible for the next higher class. The Director / Principal may be contacted, through the concerned Class Teacher, for further details in genuine and deserving cases only.

PARTICIPATION IN CO- CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (CCA-) FOR HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT :

The necessary opportunities are made available/arranged to ensure an ALL-Round/ Holistic Development of students' Personality through Dance, Drama, One-Act plays, Skits, Music, Recitation, Debates, Discussion Extempore Lectures, Speeches, Elocution, Calligraphy, Inter-School Competitive Activities and also through Cultural and Literary Activities / Events and Excursions / Picnics, Hobbies, etc. The CCA also inculcate various virtuous personality Traits of Self-Restraint, Self Discipline, Self Confidence, Honesty, Truthfulness, Spirit of Hard Work, Team Work, Justice and Sense of Responsibility and Accountability. The hobbies like Judo / Karate, Yoga, Art &_ Craft, Doll-Making, Painting, Gardening, Music & Dance & Various School Subjects Clubs/ Societies etc provide good Training in Leadership and inculcate Good Habits and Good Manners amongst students.

HOUSE SYSTEM :

There is horizontal division of all the school students into four Houses, namely Gandhi House (Green), Subhash House (Red), Radhkrishnan House (Yellow) & Kalam House (Blue) under the able and dynamic guidance of the House Masters and House Mistresses and Leadership of House Captains and House Prefects. The Inter-House and Intra-House Activities are organized to ensure students' Maximum Participation and to promote healthy competitive spirit leading to An All-Round and Holistic Personality Development of all the class-wise students of the School. The theme of the each House is (1) Swachha Bharat (2) National Unity (3) Education is Power and the 4th House theme is : "Digital India" respectively to develop multi-faceted, virtuous Holistic Personality Traits amongst students

PREFECTORIAL BOARD :

The students Council /Prefectorial Board is the best means of the active co-operation of the entire school community. The Prefectorial Board consists of Head Boy, Head Girl, Proctor, Coordinator and Secretaries of various activity Clubs to inculcate the desirable qualities of Leadership self-Discipline, self- Confidence, Team Spirit, Adventure and due Love and Respects and Empathy to class-fellows students, Grand-Parents, Neighbours and Teachers.
